About Kids with Crohns
My name is Ryan Tarantino, and I founded Kids With Crohn's in 2022 with the mission of raising awareness and funding for Crohn's disease. My journey with Crohn’s began in 2018 when I was diagnosed, and since that day, I’ve fought through the highs and lows of living with this chronic condition.
In 2022, I underwent a life-changing bowel resection surgery—a turning point in my battle with Crohn's. For nearly three years, I’ve also been on Stelara, a treatment that has helped me manage the disease and regain some control over my life. While these medical interventions have been vital, I’ve come to understand that the impact of Crohn’s goes far beyond the physical. It challenges not just your body, but your mind and your entire way of life.
This understanding is what inspired me to give back and make a meaningful impact. I know firsthand how isolating and overwhelming Crohn’s can feel, especially for children and their families. Through Kids With Crohn's, I hope to create a community where young warriors can find support, encouragement, and hope while fostering better awareness and resources for this life-altering disease.
Together, we can work toward a brighter future—one where children with Crohn’s can thrive without limitations. Thank you for joining me in this mission. Let’s make a difference, one step at a time.
